Early Closure

Dear Parents and Carers,

The weather forecast for Wednesday and Thursday indicates very high temperatures. We have reviewed the likely impact on students, staff and the school site, and have completed a risk assessment.

As a result, we will operate a shorter school day on Wednesday and Thursday.
Students should arrive at school as normal for an 8.30am start. Morning lessons will continue as planned.

Students will be dismissed from 12.30pm on both days. Dismissal will be managed by senior staff to support a calm and safe exit from the school site.

For Wednesday and Thursday, students may attend school in either:
● normal uniform, with no blazer, jumper or tie; or
● full school PE kit.

Students should bring a refillable water bottle to school.

We know this change may affect family arrangements, but the decision has been made following our risk assessment and with the safety and wellbeing of students and staff in mind.
